Sunset, Wicklow, Saturday Part II

I posted a photo late last night of yesterday’s sunset. As I said then:

Being on the east coast of Ireland I don’t get to see too many spectacular sunsets, but this evening I found the perfect spot to see one on a crisp spring evening. It was freezing, practically deserted, perfectly still, quiet and really beautiful. It reminded me of all the Saturdays I spent as a kid flying model gliders with my Dad off the slopes around Kilakee.

I took a lot of photos. Here are a few from the set

And the one I posted last night:

Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday.

  1. Beautiful photos! My ancestors came from Wicklow during the Famine–I’ve got to visit and stay awhile someday. I, too, am a (former) journalist, University of Missouri, do a little free-lance writing, and am kept happily busy with 148 16-year-olds teaching history in coastal California.
